What A Joyous Christmas it was!

We had such a blast at Christmas this year! Karalee made out like a little bandit between her dad and I lol. Her favorite toys so far are the snow globe her dad bought her that you push a button on and it sings while flinging snow around snoopy. I got a huge one that's very cool so she likes to push them both...unfortunatly they're usually on different songs and at different pitches so there's only so much of that I can take before I have to turn them off lol. She loves the "Choo choo"that her grandparents bought a few years ago that sits on our bookcase. Every morning we come down and it's the first thing she says "Choo Choo!" and points so over we go and watch the "choo choo" for a few minutes.

Karalee got so many gifts that she got gift burn out! She stopped before opening her last two and was just finished for about 30 minutes lol. I did make the parental mistake of not having the things that need to be put together done so I got quite the look as I was putting together her stroller she got. Didn't get as much of a look over the sit and spin zebra but I think that's because that one took a lot less install work. Who would have thought a simple little $10 stroller would take half an hour to put together! Geesh.

My favorite gift of the year (besides my healthy-or since we're all recovering from colds healthy-ish-family) is my brand new, sparkling, take center stage TOASTER OVEN! It's a convection oven, a toaster and it bakes all in one! Wooooooo!!!!! I'm so stinking excited about it! I used it to make toast yesterday-hey I had to make sure it worked! Then I made Dana's apple pie in it. Worked fabulous and I can't wait to use it quite often! Thanks Honey!!!! My next favorite gift (that I got the day after Christmas) is the photo album Dana did of Karalee and I. It's really sweet.

Our laughing moments were plentiful, Karalee was the cause of most of them naturally! She toppled over during a particularly difficult package to open and from there it was on. She thought that was just hilarious so no matter how easy to tear the paper was over she'd go giggling the entire way lol. Little goof! Dana and I discovered we think far too much alike, we needed new cordless phones so I got a set of two that was his Christmas Eve gift...well he got us a set of 3 for my Christmas gift so we now have 5 phones in a 3 bedroom house! LOL Guess there's no saying we couldn't get to the phone anymore is there!

'Tis the Season

Well this started out a few days before Christmas as I had great plans of posting this before hand...you can see how well those plans worked out LOL. Enjoy it anyway and then cruise over to the next post as it will have Christmas tales. This post is about a week old.

I swear Christmas gets crazier every year trying to get things done! I had a lot of fun shopping for Karalee though and more then likely went a little overboard. Hey, a mom's gotta have fun while she can right?

Baby is growing well, Dana's felt him/her move a few times and he really enjoys that. This one likes to wedge lower which makes walking uncomfortable at times, Karalee was always wedging a foot under my ribs lol.

We changed Karalee's daycare a week ago and it's been a little rough. Harder for me then her I think but certainly different for her. Our old daycare became over limit for how many children they could have and the one closer to us had better rates while still giving the level of care I expect-which anyone that knows me knows I have high standards from my daycare provider. Her new daycare has more girls then boys which I think is nice since Karalee was the only girl at her old daycare. She has a blast playing with everyone which makes me happy. She's napping better, usually 2 to 3 hours now where as her old daycare she only napped for an hour to maybe an hour and a half so thats been a nice change.

Karalee's growing like crazy of course and is just so stinking smart! She's figured out walking and is now into the running phase which is hilarious. She loves to play chase and to be chased all the while giggling like a fiend. Oh our big news is she now sleeps in her big girl toddler bed! Has for about 2 weeks now! It's been so nice! She likes it because she can get up and down herself, I love it because trying to put her down at night in the crib was getting hard for me. She went through a phase where she was up every couple of hours and we decided that it was from her teeth and how cold her room gets, so we bought a space heater for her room and that's helped a lot with keeping it warmer. We're going to buy one for the baby's room too but that can wait a bit. She's getting teeth like crazy! I think she's working on both lower eye teeth right now and maybe one top eye tooth. She went through a phase where she didn't want her teeth brushed but is (I cross my fingers as I type this) back to letting me brush them. I won't say she loves it but she does tolerate it so I'll take it!

Everyone keeps asking if I've started on the baby's room and the answer is not yet, we plan to start after January since we'll have a bit more time. We did decide on Looney Tunes as the theme-Dana got to pick this time-and we're very excited about it!

We're hoping to paint both kids rooms maybe this spring. We've like the chair rail look for awhile that goes along the walls and we decided we're going to do both kids rooms with chair rail and we'll re-paint Karalee's room. It'll be beige on the bottom, a very very pale pink on top. I haven't decided if I'm putting the green stars back up or not but I'm leaning towards yes.

We got our tree's and slowly got them decorated. We actually just finished decorating the one downstairs today and we've had them about a week or so lol. Karalee was so cute helping with the ornaments, I'd hand her one and she'd grin and giggle while she looked for the perfect spot to hang it, then rush back to me for the next one. What a cutie! She got to help me bring up the wrapped Christmas gifts last week and she thought that was the cats meow as well. Was funny, I'd hand her one, carry her up the stairs, put her down and she run to her dad all excited and then run back to me to be carried back down the stairs to get some more presents lol. I love this age and I love watching how excited she gets helping out!

I'm 6 months pregnant now and I can't believe I'm already this far along! I'm 25 weeks as of last Friday and depending what I wear I look either huge or small lol. It's been really nice having more maternity clothes to chose from this time, last time I had about 10 shirts and a few pairs of pants, this time I could wear a different pair of pants every day pretty much and the same with shirts lol.
