Well I'm home sick today and wishing I'd just get better already. Caught tummy virus or something so I'm spending the day going between the bed, the couch, the restroom and on occasion the computer. Ugh!
Now I'm sure you're thinking that's what inspired the title of this post but it's not. What inspired the title is my baby girl. I was filling up a glass with water and BAM it hit me that Karalee would be smiling at me right now watching that water fill the glass and I was struck with missing her so badly in that moment. Now I miss her when I'm at work but at work I'm busy well, working so it's not as bad but just sitting at home I'm missing my little love. Only a few more hours though and I'll get to love on her. She's such a sweetie and always makes me smile no matter how cruddy I feel.

March On
Hey everybody! Sorry for the spotty communication! We've been staying busy keeping up with our wiggle worm! Karalee is crawling like a speed demon and pulling up on things, she's also walking along the couches! We got her a lion walker that roars and giggles as she walks that she loves! She's working on her third tooth, it's on the bottom left. She can say Mama and Baba-course it's all in the course of chattering so it isn't aimed at anyone in particular yet! Lol She's taking the bottle really well for Dana provided I'm not in sight. She's in the phase where if she see's me then that's where she wants to be, if I'm out of sight for the most part she's fine. Little goof! :-) She's sleeping really well in her crib (YEA!!) and we're excited about that. Typically she goes down between 7:30 and 8:30 depending how busy her day has been and she's usually asleep for about 4 1/2 hours or more then she nurses, goes back down anywhere from 2-4 hours again, usually I nurse her and get about another 1-2 hours of sleep depending on the day. Written out it looks really streneous but it's really not bad! Compared to the every hour she had for awhile this is pure heaven! Lol
I stopped pumping January and I've really enjoyed that, I have a fair amount stored up for her to have a bottle of breast milk while I go do jewelry shows or just get a break. She takes formula pretty well for both Dana and I now which is a huge change from a few months ago. I still nurse her on demand when I'm with her in addition to solids. She's eating two solids a day, usually breakfast & lunch. She loves playing with spoons and if you're holding her she'll "share" by shoving the spoon in your mouth and get this huge smile! She's starting to wave & give high 5's, she's also learned how to tap her hand against her mouth while going "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" and it's hilarious! She has great fun "tapping" (read smacking) us in the mouth while we do the sound lol. Her hair is long enough to put into a baby ponytail although you have to be fast because she gets grumpy if you take too long. I'm on a learning curve! She's also learned to clap her hands and she has fun doing that. She likes to make the white noise static sound and then starts laughing at herself which of course gets us to laughing! She still loves water and her favorite thing in the whole world is to watch Dana or I fill a glass or bottle with water, she gets this huge grin and looks at us with this pure delight in her eyes! Karalee also give's a lot of hugs and kisses now which I love!!!
We're gearing up for Karalee's 9 month appointment...a month late! Oops Lol I'm excited to find out what she weighs and how tall she is now. I know when she pulls up on my legs she's about 6" above my knee. Stinker is getting so big!! I'm also glad that at this appointment she doesn't need to get any shots it's just a milestone check up basically.
We're getting excited about Karalee's first birthday although I can't believe my little girl is almost one!! I realized yesterday that she's been here longer then I was pregnant now and it was so weird to realize that. It seems like just yesterday I was holding her for the first time! I have so many things I'm going to get her I'm excited to start shopping! Between toys and the necessities I always have fun shopping for her! She's getting a new carseat and I'm so excited about that!
Dana is on the fast track to becoming a supervisor this summer at his work which we're very excited about! I know he's been really wanting more responsibility and this is a position he's wanted for some time. Crossing our fingers this summer the postion opens up. As for me my job is going great! I got a really nice raise and bonus which are much appreciated! My boss and I still get along great and I'm getting more and more responsibility as time goes by which is exciting for me! I got to do our 1099's and 1096's this year which I've never done so that was something that made me a little nervous because I didn't want to mess up but they were really easy since we're such a small company thank goodness!
I had a jewelry show last weekend that went really well! It was for my friend Candice and she got $325 in free jewelry so I was very excited for her! Plus I can't wait to see all the jewelry she got, there's a lot of pieces I don't own so I'm excited to check them out on her! I have another show coming up the end of March for a banker at my bank so I'm excited about that, hopefully I have one mid month as well but the lady isn't sure as some of her plans changed so she hasn't been able to confirm 100% that she can do it yet. I hope so but if she doesn't do it this month she assured me she'd have it in April since that's a slower month for her.
Dana and I went with our friends Jim & Gregg to Fuddruckers last night and the only person who didn't get food poisoning was Jim! None of us can figure out how we all got sick because we all ate different things! None of us had the same thing at all so it's a mystery. Regardless it was very un-fun and made for a tiring night. Thankfully we're all fine now! Good thing since Dana and I have to keep up with Karalee!
I'm planning a baby shower for our friend Sandy and Dana is in charge of the Diaper Daddy Round-Up for Keith. It's been fun, I always have fun at showers. I'm pretty close to done, I just need to make the cake and pick up some decorations but I'll wait until it's closer. It's on the 15th of March and hopefully it will go well! I haven't had many RSVP's so I need to harass people again. I hate just sitting around in the dark! :-)
Alright enough blabbering on, I know you really came to see pictures of Karalee so here we go! Also for those keeping track by month/date I've included the date the picture was taken.

I decided to let Karalee have fun with the bowl since she was done eating, as you can see it's still got food so you can guess the mess she was in after playing! Lol

You can't see her but I was attempting to put Karalee down for a nap but she wouldn't release me...so I got stuck in this position for a little while which Dana thought was hilarious!
